Days of our Lives Spoilers, June 12: Bo has an emotional request of Steve

Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Bo (Peter Reckell) go back more than 40 years to when they were both in the Merchant Marines. Their friendship has been through a lot and even endured the fact that Bo was responsible for Steve losing his eye, resulting in his persona as Patch. They fought over Britta Englund in Stockholm, and a knife fight took out Steve's eye.

Steve is also the one who brought Bo back to Salem in 2015 so he could "die" in Hope's (Kristian Alfonso) arms in the same spot where they shared their first kiss. Steve was surprised to see Bo show up at John's funeral, but happy to know John's (the late Drake Hogestyn) death was not in vain.

As the two old friends catch up, Bo tries to talk Steve into changing his mind about something. Does he want Steve to reconsider closing Black Patch now that John is gone? Steve loves solving mysteries and fighting crime. Is he so sure he wants to retire? Does Bo offer to be his new partner?

That would require Bo staying in Salem for a while, but is that what Hope has in mind? They haven't really spoken too much about the future.

While Eric (Greg Vaughan) asked everyone back to The Brady Pub after John's funeral, it appears that some of their loved ones end up at The Bistro as well.

Before reuniting with his brother at John's wake, Jack (Matthew Ashford) decides to pay his respects to Abigail now that Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) has convinced him to accept that she is really and truly dead. Jack was holding onto hope after not finding her body last year, but Jennifer's motherly instincts tell her that her daughter is gone.

Jennifer spends some time catching up with Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) before she makes her way to The Bistro to meet Jack and other Johnson family members. Does Julie tell Jennifer that she had been right not to trust Doug III (Peyton Meyer) when she met him last December?
