Days of our Lives star Greg Vaughan shares news of his son's accident

Greg Vaughan, who recurs as doting dad Eric Brady on Days of our Lives, is a hands-on pop in real life, too. He was right by his son Landan's side after he was in a bike accident that left him with a broken limb.

Days of our Lives star's son is a champion!

"Oh my Landan," Vaughan posted online along with a bike-riding emoji with an explosive emoji. "Wearing his helmet truly saved him from a much worse outcome! Huge thanks to the first responders 🚑👨‍🚒 🚓👮🏼‍♂️for their incredible care and attention every step of the way."

Vaughan shared in an Instagram post that the prognosis for his son is good! "He walked away with a broken wrist and some serious road rash," the actor wrote. "First thing he asked the doctor was: ‘When can I play football?’ 🤦🏻😂❤️. This kid’s spirit is unmatched!"

"Glad he’s good, man," posted Eric Martsolf, who plays Brady Black, Eric's stepbrother and fellow dad. "#DadStuff."

"Oh my," shared Brandon Barasha (ex-Stefan), "Glad he's okay." Moms, including Kristian Alfonso (ex-Hope), posed a bandaged heart emoji along with a prayer emoji. Added Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe): "Oh no!...Hope he feels better soon and heals quickly!" Bjorlin also added a bandaged heart and prayer symbol emoji.

Robert Scott Wilson (Alexander) shared two prayer emojis to express his concern for his co-star's son.

Other followers of Vaughan's expressed their concerns. "So great he had his helmet on! He will bounce back quickly!" wrote @scorchy550.

Added Jordan Janceski: "Greg. Just heard and read what happened. So glad ur man is okay and on the mend. Thank god for helmets. No parent should have to face such a situation. I'm no parent, but just hearing this news has me in a shiver.

"Greg," Janceski continued, "I'm sure with u and all loved ones by Landan's side, he will make a speedy recovery and get back to kicking the ball. Sending wishes from Melbourne, Aus Jordan."

In addition to his role as Eric on DAYS, Vaughan is known to soap fans from his run as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital, as well as Diego on The Young and the Restless.

In 2018, Vaughan won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama series for his role as Eric Brady.
