On Days of Our Lives, Deidre Hall has played the iconic Dr. Marlena Evans for decades. Now, with a recent story that harkens back to her Queen of the Night days, Marlena’s story continues to get interesting with various twists and turns. But long before she became synonymous with soap opera drama, she was one-half of a Saturday morning sensation, back when cartoons and live-action kids shows were only seen then. In the 1970s series Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, she donned a spandex costume as Electra Woman alongside Judy Strangis’ Dyna Girl. It was a colorful show that became a cult favorite for kids growing up in that era. Recently, Hall and Strangis reunited for a special project that had fans feeling all the nostalgic vibes.
A sweet Saturday reunion
Days of Our Lives’ Deidre Hall took to Instagram to share the moment, posting, “Sweet Saturday with BFF Judy. For those of you who placed orders, keep your eyes peeled! Nearly sold out—if you missed out, grab yours quickly on deidrehall.com or by using the link in my story or bio!” She included a video of the two of them in which she stated, “It's Saturday afternoon and Judy and I, as promised, have sat down with a whole bunch of our pictures from Electra Woman and Dyna Girl to make available personalized to you.” Strangis joined in with, “And because of you, we are together again!” adding, “We love this!” as Hall let loose a resounding, “Yes!”
It was evident that their reunion was loving and heartfelt as Strangis then stated, “We're very happy to do this, so keep asking us. It's a reason for us to get together,” and Hall couldn’t help but add that it was, “The best!” The video featured the two friends seated together with piles of photos from their superhero days, happily signing autographs for fans who pre-ordered them. It wasn’t just a reunion—it was a reminder of the magic that made Electra Woman and Dyna Girl so beloved.
Fans Relived Their Childhood
The reaction from Days of Our Lives fans was immediate and heartfelt. @valentinebride02 wrote, “Loved the show! Met you in Huntington, WV, years ago. You both still look amazing.” Another fan, @dallas7777777dave, kept it short but sweet: “My childhood Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.” Many others echoed the same thought—that seeing Hall and Strangis together again brought back warm Saturday morning memories.
Several followers commented on just how timeless the duo looked. @ahmadrussell45 gushed, “You ladies aged incredibly well,” while @doolonchain admitted, “It’s so great to see you smile!! You two have not aged!!!” The affection carried through with @coby19oscar20, exclaiming, “It’s great seeing you both together again.”
Days of Our Lives' Hall had previously posted a photo of her and Strangis as the iconic superheroes, with the caption, “Hi there. I never imagined that so many years after creating Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, there would still be so much interest in these characters! Judy and I have chosen our two favorite pictures and are making them available as a set, autographed and personalized, to you.” She added the contact info for good measure.
Days of Our Lives co-star Greg Rikaart (Leo) couldn’t help but respond with the hilarious question: “Do you still have those boots?” (Find out what the hardest day ever for Hall was all about.)
