SOAPnet to air a second helping of Days of our Lives

Soap opera executives are learning that soap fans are loyal, but that some fans cannot always tune in to see a soap's original broadcast during daytime. To help DAYS fans be able to get more of their daily dose of Salem drama, there will soon be another airing.

As you prepare to pile on another spoonful of stuffing, mashed potatoes, and turkey this Thanksgiving, Days of our Lives fans will also be able to order up a second helping of their favorite soap. In addition to the regular daytime broadcast on NBC and the availability to watch online or download episodes through iTunes, SOAPnet has announced that it will add a second nighttime rebroadcast of each day's episode.

Beginning November 30, SOAPnet, the Disney-owned all-things-soap cable channel, will bookend its same-day airings of its soap lineup with an extra evening airing of Days of our Lives at 6PM (ET/PT). SOAPnet already airs Days of our Lives at 11PM (ET/PT).

The network's new schedule will be:

6PM: Same-day airing of Days of our Lives
7PM: Same-day airing of The Young and the Restless
8PM: Same-day airing of All My Children
9PM: Same-day airing of One Life to Live
10PM: Same-day airing of General Hospital
11PM: Same-day airing of Days of our Lives

All times are Eastern/Pacific.

Earlier this year, NBC announced that Days of our Lives fans would be able to keep up with the action in Salem by watching episodes for free on NBC.com.

Soap fans will also continue to have the option to read Soap Central's comprehensive, daily recaps for Days of our Lives as well as the other six soaps currently airing.
