Blake Berris has returned to the role of Days of our Lives' Nick Fallon. Berris, a 2009 Daytime Emmy nominee, first appeared on DAYS in 2006. It's not yet known how the fictional murderer will figure into story.

Blake Berris (Nick Fallon) is back on the Days of our Lives set. The actor will reprise his Daytime Emmy-nominated role later this year. Soaps In Depth magazine is reporting that Berris started taping new scenes on May 18.

"I was really lucky," Berris told Soap Opera Digest. "I got to do some scenes right off the bat with Kristian [Alfonso, Hope], who I love. It was pretty easy to slip to back into the crazy rhythm of things at DAYS. It felt a little like déjà vu."

Berris was last seen on-screen in January 2009, when his character was sent to prison for the murder of Trent. Ironically, it was then-executive producer Gary Tomlin's decision to have Nick turn out to be a killer. Tomlin is now back at DAYS as one of the show's head writers.

Berris began what he'd later call his "dream role" in 2006. There's no word yet on exactly how the incarcerated Nick will end up back on-screen.

An official first airdate has yet to be announced, but fans shouldn't expect to see Berris on their screens until late summer.
