The star-studded digital drama Ladies of the Lake is set to hit Amazon this May, and the highly anticipated series just dropped its first jaw-dropping promo trailer.
Adapted from a book written by Days of our Lives' executive producer Ken Corday, brought to life by Emmy-nominated producer Michael Caruso and directed by two-time Emmy winner Sonia Blangiardo (Tainted Dreams), Ladies of the Lake is a glossy, limited-run summer series that tells the story of the glamorous residents of the Southern California community of Avalon and the dark secrets they hide behind their perfect fašades.
"It's pure glamour," says Caruso, who executive produces the show alongside DAYS alum Kyle Lowder (ex-Brady Black; ex-Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful). "The novel is the kind of fun poolside read that people crave, and when Ken permitted Kyle and I to adapt his novel we thought that the digital medium would be perfect for binge watching, which is why Amazon is the ideal home for Ladies of the Lake."
Starring three-time Emmy nominee Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker, DAYS), two-time Emmy nominee Lilly Melgar (ex-Lily Rivera, General Hospital), Emmy nominee Martha Madison (Belle Black, DAYS), Marie Wilson (ex-Meg Snyder, As the World Turns; ex-Karen Wexler, Port Charles and GH), Jessica Morris (ex-Jennifer Rappaport, One Life to Live), and primetime Emmy winner Patrika Darbo (Shirley Spectra, B&B; Nancy Wesley, DAYS), Ladies of the Lake is scheduled to premiere on Amazon on Monday, May 15.
