Fans of Days of our Lives have been thrilled by the rumor that Brandon Beemer will be back to the NBC soap opera as his popular alter ego, Shawn-Douglas Brady, but official confirmation about the news hadn't surfaced... until now!
Beemer took to Twitter to answer fans' questions about his rumored return to the soap, and he revealed: "I'll be back on your screens for a little bit in February."

Unfortunately, the Oregon native didn't discuss any storyline points related to his next return, so there's likely to be a lot of speculation in the months ahead. As viewers may recall, Shawn-Douglas and his wife, Belle (Martha Madison), were recently forced to return from Hong Kong after their daughter, Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), went off the rails, committing several arsons and attempted murders. Shawn and Belle helped Claire settle into the Bayview mental health facility, but fans were left hanging as to what would happen next for the disheartened parents.
Beemer made his debut as Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady's (Kristian Alfonso) son in 2006, taking over for Jason Cook, who departed the soap earlier that year. Beemer left the role in 2008, and DAYS decided to re-hire Jason Cook when Shawn-Douglas returned to Salem for DAYS' 50th anniversary in 2015. However, Cook's reprisal of the role was short-lived, and Beemer stepped back into the role in 2016.
Some of Beemer's other daytime credits include playing Owen Knight on The Bold and the Beautiful and Seth on General Hospital.
What do you think about the way Shawn-Douglas' recent return to DAYS was wrapped up? Are you happy to hear that Beemer will be back this February, or do you think that's way too long to wait for the actor's return? We want to hear from you -- and there are many ways you can share your thoughts.
