Daytime Emmy Awards' red carpet rolls out early!

Daytime stars graced the red carpet for the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards several days ahead of the CBS broadcast set to air on Friday, June 25.

The Daytime Emmy Awards have once again made history, this time with a new and inventive change to the red carpet event. In order to stay COVID safe, the glamorous proceedings played out on the evening of Monday, June 21 -- several days ahead of the Emmy broadcast that will be airing on Friday, June 25.

Last year's Daytime Emmy Awards were fully virtual due to the pandemic, but a recent loosening of the restrictions meant that The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) was able to bring this year's nominees and presenters together for a socially distanced (yet still quite glitzy) red carpet event -- complete with paparazzi!

Check out a collection of photos from the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet event on ET, and read the full list of all of the soap-related attendees below.

The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards are set to air this Friday, June 25th, on CBS at 8PM EST. There's been no official word about which soap stars -- if any -- will be present in person for the main event. However, several daytime stars told Soap Central that they had been asked to record their acceptance speeches early, so the broadcast might look very similar to last year's highly rated virtual show.
