10 Moments from Happy Gilmore 2 that will remind you of the prequel in a funny way
10) Happy’s celebratory dance is back

Going back to golf and not seeing Happy’s bull riding dance would have been incomplete. Therefore, in Happy Gilmore 2, we get two moments where Happy’s dance is showcased.
The first one appears at the beginning of the film when a fan reenacts the celebratory dance, and later Happy does it himself when, after remembering Chubbs’ words, he makes his iconic long shot. Both of these scenes remind us of the prequel in situations that make it appear funny as well as nostalgic.
9) Happy’s happy place

In the first fifteen minutes of Happy Gilmore 2, we get a glimpse of Happy’s happy place, where he also meets his wife, Virginia, whom he had killed with his tee shot, judging the version of her in Happy’s happy place.
Later in the film, Happy gets nervous seeing the performance of his competitors, and even his happy place is not helpful. He decides to upgrade his happy place, making it more age-appropriate. The result is an even better and funnier happy place, as we see Happy enjoying animal videos while sitting on a commode.
It also features a cameo from Rob Schneider, and a doctor appears, informing him that his cholesterol level is low. Now, his happy place has all the things that would make a middle-aged man happy.
8) Happy Gilmore 2 recreates an iconic scene from the prequel

While introducing his family in Happy Gilmore 2, Happy also gives us a glimpse of the game based on himself. As his sons play the video game, we see a recreated scene from the prequel film, where Happy swings his tee shot, strangles his caddie, and is punched by Bob Barker numerous times.
What better way to bring back an iconic and funny scene from the first movie than this?
7) Shooter’s shooter hand gesture is back

With so many references to the prequel, Shooter’s iconic line and his hand gesture would not have been left out, which were memorable moments from the first film. Shooter gets to do his shooter hands twice in Happy Gilmore 2.
In one of those moments, during their competition with the Maxi golfers, Happy asks an irate Shooter where the Maxi Players go, which gives an opportunity to Shooter to utter his fan-favorite line from the first film as he says:
"To their shanties! Because this is Shooter’s tour!"
The line ends with his iconic shooter hand gesture.
6) Ben Stiller comes back as Hal L.

You might have remembered Stiller from the first film, where he worked in Happy’s grandma’s nursing home. In Happy Gilmore 2, Stiller brings back Hal L. as a therapist who holds the AA meetings and also lets Happy know that, since his uncle is a chief judge, he is allowed to do whatever he wants to in the sessions.
He finishes his dialogue with his iconic line and says:
"You’re in my world now!"
5) Happy’s caddie, Will Zalatoris appears

Happy choking his caddie in the first film is one of the iconic moments from the prequel. In Happy Gilmore 2, we get an updated version of the same scene, making it even funnier.
Zalatoris, now a pro golfer himself, makes his shot, and just like Happy did it with him, he choked his own caddie from behind, giving us a callback that made the original scene more iconic, along with Happy’s comment of how Zalatoris now understands why Happy did that to him.
4) Happy and Shooter’s reunion

Happy and Shooter’s reunion is a reference scene in Happy Gilmore 2, reminiscent of the prequel. They meet near Virginia’s grave and begin arguing, which later turns into fighting.
While their fight in the graveyard is as funny as it can be, we also encounter numerous graves of iconic characters from the first film, such as Bob Barker, Chubbs, and Happy's Grandma.
3) The graves were introduced with the iconic lines from the characters

The graveyard scene from Happy Gilmore 2 not only revived memories of Shooter and Happy’s animosity but also brought back other characters from the scene it was a homage to.
For instance, Happy apologized to his Grandma about losing the house, which he tried to save in the first film. In addition, while hitting Happy, Shooter calls him a J****ss, right in front of Donald Froyd’s grave, making the scene funnier. It ended with the voice of the lady from Grandma's nursing home, who was calling for help from beyond the grave, just like in the first film, making it another funny moment.
2) Eminem plays Donald Floyd’s son

Happy Gilmore 2 wouldn’t have been complete without Happy being heckled, and that happens in an iconic way. While he is competing, he gets distracted by someone calling him a J****ss, just like in the prequel. As Eminem introduces himself, we find out that he is Floyd's son.
Keeping up with the traditions, Eminem, playing the character of Floyd’s son, heckled Happy during his game, making the scene funnier by referring to a popular scene from the first film.
1) All the deceased characters appear in the last scene of Happy Gilmore 2
With a bittersweet ending after Happy sees all his children off to the airport, he notices all the deceased characters from the prequel and Happy Gilmore 2. From Virginia, the Floyds, to his grandmother, all the characters appeared to say hi to Happy.
The moment was also funny because Chubbs appeared with the alligator that bit his hand in the first film, as they both waved to Happy.
