Aaron Taylor-Johnson's look for the upcoming film Werwulf has just been dropped, and it is bound to raise anticipation even higher!

On X, the official account of Film Crave has revealed the actor's look for the film.

After Nosferatu, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and director Robert Eggers come together to weave magic on screen once again with this forthcoming horror film.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson's look in Werwulf, revealed

Aaron Taylor-Johnson's look in the forthcoming horror film, Werwulf, is revealed on X by the official account of Film Crave.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the film takes place in England during the 13th Century. Hence, the actor's look seems to have been completely transformed in a way that looks authentic to the time that it is set in. The 28 Years Later actor, with his current look in this film, has taken a journey back several centuries.

This is quite evident in his appearance, as he wears long, curly brown hair with a full beard. Taylor-Johnson is seen wearing a black and white suit, donning a black bowtie. Not only the look, as per the outlet, the characters in the film shall also speak in the tongue of Middle English.

After winning hearts with Nosferatu, which explored the gothic world of vampires, this upcoming film will explore the dark world of the lycanthropes. From the same film, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, and the helmer Robert Eggers have joined hands to tell us a fresh new horror story in Werwulf.

Joined by Sjón, Eggers has co-penned the script of the film.

In fact, as reported by World of Reel, at a screening at Lincoln Center, the director revealed about Werwulf by mentioning:

"It's a medieval werewolf movie and this is the darkest thing I have ever written, by far."

As Eggers spoke at the event, it was met with immense cheer from the audience. Robert Eggers is well known for his unique storytelling set in historical times, incorporating horror and lore. So, going by his statement about this upcoming film, we can certainly expect to experience the unexpected.

As per Variety, the production companies, including Maiden Voyage Pictures, Working Title Films, and Focus Features, are associated with the project. Focus Features, along with producing, is also handling the film's distribution. The executive producers of the film are Eleanor and Chris Columbus.

From Working Title Films, we have Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan supporting the project. Joining them is the director himself, Robert Eggers, along with the writer, Sjón. The film is scheduled to make its release on next year's Christmas, which is on 25th December 2026.
