There is a trailer of Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers on YouTube that shows us some bits and pieces of what to expect from it. We can see Aileen Wuornos saying that:

"The real Aileen Wuornos is not a serial killer. I was so lost that I turned into one."

If we look into the life of Aileen, there is a lot we can find that explains why she became the monster she was.

During her killing spree, she killed seven men, whom she has accused of either attempting to rape or raping her. Her victims include Richard Charles Mallory, David Andrew Spears, Charles Edmund Carskaddon, Peter Abraham Siems, Troy Eugene Burress, Charles Richard "Dick" Humphreys, and Walter Gino Antonio.

Over the years, her story has been adapted into TV and films, of which the most popular adaptation would be Charlize Theron's portrayal in the 2003 film, Monster, for which the actress won the Academy Award for Best Actress.

At the beginning of the trailer, we can also hear a voice saying that:

"In 1997, Aileen said that "I and going to tell you the truth of my life and give you this interview.""

She died on October 9, 2002, from execution by lethal injection.
