Spider-Man: Brand New Day's DP (director of photography), Brett Pawlak, posted some spoiler-y photos on his Pinterest account. As of now, his account has been made private, meaning we can't see his images for now until prior approval, a feature currently unavailable for all. The images posted by Pawlak hinted at the return of the savage Hulk.

If you remember, the last time we saw the savage Hulk was in the opening minutes of Avengers: Infinity War, where we see him lose a fistfight with Thanos in Thor's ship. Since then, the Hulk we see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an evolved one who retains Banner's intelligence and manners, including speech. Thus, it is unclear for now how the savage Hulk returns in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Hulk's possible involvement in Spider-Man: Brand New Day explained:

On May 26, 2025, Nexus Point News published a report stating that, like the previous three Tom Holland Spider-Man movies, Brand New Day would also feature Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. But as of now, the actor's inclusion in Spider-Man: Brand New Day hasn't been officially confirmed by the director, the actor's representative, or one of the two studios, Marvel or Sony.

However, DP Brett Pawlak's recent Pinterest post might have confirmed that Bruce Banner might indeed be involved in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But as of now, the said post isn't accessible, and the same is applicable to Pawlak's account as well. Plus, the studio representatives might say that these images are just concept art, and they may or may not use them in the final movie. The DP's images were posted by a fan's X account.

While the Hulk's involvement in the movie is still unconfirmed, we do know that one fan-favorite MCU character will cross paths with Spider-Man in the upcoming movie. Frank Castle/the Punisher is a part of the upcoming Spidey flick, and he will be played by Jon Bernthal, who plays the character in the Disney+ Marvel shows. Apart from Bernthal's casting, details of Brand New Day are under wraps.

What do we know about Brand New Day?

On March 31, 2025, the title of the fourth wall-crawler movie was revealed to be "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" at CinemaCon. Furthermore, the director of the movie was officially confirmed to be Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker who directed 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Cretton said this on stage after being confirmed:

“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world. We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”

Then the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director hyped up the fourth Spidey flick, saying:

“I really wish I could introduce you to our entire team who are working their bloods off for this. They are incredible, and you will see their amazing work when ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ hits your theaters.”
