Former Today co-host, Bryant Gumbel, was seen in New York City earlier this week for the first time since his medical emergency. TMZ reported that he was dressed up in a black leather fleece bomber jacket and had a Yankees cap on, with dark sunglasses shielding his eyes from the sun. He was with his wife, Hilary, who wore a navy blue coat with denim jeans and a black cap. She was holding her husband by the arm while they were walking.
TMZ reporters did not receive any comment from Gumbel or his wife, but noted that the 77-year-old sportscaster looked a little tired. While Gumbel was in the hospital, his family did not share much about his condition or situation, but revealed to TMZ that he was doing well. An insider source also exclusively shared with PageSix, saying:
"He's not dying... He's expected to recover."
Bryant was taken to the hospital on Monday night (October 20) after experiencing a medical emergency. He was taken on a gurney and was in the hospital for a few days. It is unclear as to when he was discharged since the family is being:
"extremely tight-lipped about it."
