Anne Burrell's sudden passing has shaken the food community.
The celebrity chef was found unresponsive in her shower around 8 a.m. by her husband, Stuart Claxton, on June 17, 2025, after which he called 911. The television personality and chef reportedly died due to cardiac arrest, but the medical examiner has not ruled out the official cause of death yet.
Another report is that Anne Burrell was found next to dozens of pills that have not been revealed to the public. Insider sources told The Post that the exact cause of death is yet to be determined, which makes it presumptuous to claim that the pills had something to do with Burrell's untimely and sudden passing.
In addition to other details surrounding Anne's death, a witness claimed that they saw the celebrity chef doing improv at a Brooklyn venue. According to the witness, Burrell seemed to be "in great spirits."

We would go to Rangers games and she and I would make it on the Jumbotron at MSG and people would recognize her crazy hair and fall all over her."

"She lit up the room. A very special person who shared her love of cooking with a generation. I was lucky to have a front row seat to watch her gift. She was an incredible Chef and I learned a lot from her, as we all do with one another. Anne had a collage of star tattoos on her left arm. I asked her what they meant and she said she loved the night sky. And, how lucky she felt to be a star."
