American actress Kelley Mack died on August 2, 2025, in her hometown of Cincinnati after battling glioma of the central nervous system. A year before her death, she had shared a health update. Mack mentioned that she was receiving treatment for a rare form of cancer called diffuse midline glioma. It is an aggressive form of brain tumor that affects the brainstem, thalamus, and spinal cord.
Kelley Mack had posted on Instagram in January keeping fans updated:
"Due to the biopsy surgery on my spinal cord... I have lost the use of my right leg and most of my left leg, so I now get around with a walker and a wheelchair."
By March, she seemed to be doing better:
"I've been up and down these stairs now 2x in the past few days... It's a big deal for me. (Life has also had its ups and downs lately am I right lol)."
However, she lost the battle with the deadly disease and died in August, according to her sister's announcement.

Kelley Mack's sister took to the actress' official Instagram account to share the sad news with her fans. On August 5, 2025, Kelley Mack's sister wrote:
"It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go."
She continued:
"Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies 🦋 ❤️. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express."
She concluded by saying:
"Kelley’s Caringbridge link in her bio includes the 2-page formal announcement with information on her upcoming life celebration in Ohio on August 16th. She would want you all to know how much she loves you. And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so f**king proud of her."
Kelley Mack died peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with a rare and aggressive brain cancer. A celebration of her life will be held in Ohio on August 16.
