The ongoing legal drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues. It began a year ago in December, when Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against her co-star, after filming It Ends With Us. Almost a year later, the legal proceedings are still going on.TMZ reported that Lively celebrated a small win against Baldoni recently. The actress was sued for defamation by Jed Wallace and his company, Street Relations Inc., nine months ago. However, the complaint has been dismissed in court because it was filed in Texas. The reason why the complaint was dismissed is because it was filed in the wrong state and Texas did not have the authority to handle it.Blake Lively's legal representative spoke to TMZ and told them:"With this decision, all of the retaliatory lawsuits filed against Blake Lively by Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and their crisis communications and digital teams have been dismissed. Ms. Lively will have her day in court on her claims at the March trial in New York."What recent set back did Blake Lively face in her legal battle against Justin Baldoni?Blake also faced a set back before her win against Jed Wallace. When she filed her lawsuit against Jed Wallace and his company, Street Relations Inc., she sued him in New York. The court pointed dismissed her claim because of a similar reason. The judge pointed out that she should not have filed the lawsuit in New York, since Jed's company, Street Relations Inc., is based in Texas, and it has little to no connections to New York. In simple terms, this means that New York has no legal authority over Wallace and his company.Jed Wallace has not expressed if he wants to refile the lawsuit in a different state. TMZ has also reached out to Wallace and his representatives, but so far, they are yet to respond. However, Blake Lively's legal battle with Justin Baldoni is far from over. Even though she recently scored a small win after a Texas court dismissed a defamation case against her, she has also faced setbacks of her own. Her main trial is set for March in New York.
