Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers’ ongoing divorce battle has taken a new turn with Aaron denying the abuse allegations and claiming Richards is using them to avoid providing spousal support. Richards first accused Aaron of abusing her in July. In the latest court filing, reported by TMZ, Aaron stated:

"I believe this entire domestic violence proceeding is merely a ruse to try to cut me off from being able to obtain spousal support."

When did Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers first meet?

Before marrying Aaron Phypers, Denise was married to Charlie Sheen. The couple divorced after almost four years of marriage in 2006. She married Aaron Phypers in 2018. Revealing their first encounter, which took place in 2017, Denise revealed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a year after her marriage to Aaron, that:

"So, I met him at his center doing DNA repair, anti-aging, and that sort of thing"

While Denise was already divorced, Phypers started seeing her, even though he was still tied to Nicollette Sheridan, whom he wed in 2015 and divorced in 2018.

After nearly losing their Malibu home in the 2018 wildfires, the couple's bond became even stronger. A year later, in 2019, Aaron uploaded an Instagram photo admiring Richards with a caption that read:

"To the most incredible woman my soulmate. I am always in awe of your Beauty perseverance, dedication in all you do. These photos taken a couple of months ago from an emergency procedure femoral hernia not one but four! 6 hours waiting close by. Love you baby everyday getting stronger! @deniserichards"

Replying to Aaron Phypers, Denise Richards also uploaded the same photo of herself on Instagram with the caption:

"My hubby posted this & I need to actually thank him for taking such great care of me. This was a couple months ago & turned out to be a good lesson for me to always listen to my body."

Continuing her caption, she wrote:

"I’m so grateful to @herniadoc & her fabulous team. I thought I had one femoral hernia, I actually had 2 femoral & 2 inguinal. And I waited way too long & didn’t even tell my husband how bad I was feeling (I know it was stupid) ... gotta always listen to our bodies & take care of ourselves."

On 2020 Father's Day, Denise Richards admired and thanked Aaron through the statement reported by Us Weekly:

"I can’t imagine a better father for our Eloise & stepfather for Sami & Lola. I love you so much. And the greatest gift [is] Eloise being able to say ‘dad’ for the first time a month ago🙏🏻❤️ ."

In July 2020, Brandi Glanville claimed she was intimate with Denise Richards and said she and Phypers had an open marriage, which Denise Richards dismissed.

The couple has been very open about their relationship, regularly sharing photos of each other on social media. Aaron Phypers was also supportive of Denise's decision to join OnlyFans, according to Us Weekly.
