The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuit has gotten a new update. Justin’s lawyers shared new footage of a deleted scene allegedly showing Blake improvising an unscripted kiss with Justin. According to Baldoni’s lawyers, the scene that showed Blake’s character Lily having an intimate moment with Ryle, Baldoni’s character, in a hospital scene, was entirely controlled by Lively. They added that the scene was filmed in May 2023.“She herself added to the script, in which her character kissed Baldoni's character in every take, although there was no kiss in the script.”This report comes after Baldoni’s legal team claimed in January that there were no improvised, unscripted kissing scenes in response to Blake Lively’s sexual assault allegations.“Lively also complains that there was inappropriate and improvised kissing during the first period of filming, before the strike break. But in fact, the only two kissing scenes filmed during the initial filming period were both scenes that included kisses as written in the script. These kissing scenes were not improvised,” the legal team wrote in January.Updates on the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively lawsuitOn October 31, 2025, Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Liman dismissed the $400 million lawsuit that Baldoni filed against Blake Lively and her husband, citing civil extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy. Judge Lewis dismissed the case after Baldoni and his legal team failed to file an amended complaint following the initial dismissal of the case in June 2025.Following the lawsuit dismissal, Dave Freeman, Justin’s attorney, reacted. He claimed that his team didn't miss any deadline.“At this point, we have to set the record straight: no deadlines were missed. Our clients chose not to amend their complaint to preserve appeal rights. In the meantime, we are focusing on Ms Lively’s claims. We remain fully committed to pursuing the truth through every legal and factual avenue available and look forward to our day in court.”He added that the media has distorted the case, and “even something as simple as a procedural update has resulted in a total mischaracterization.”Blake Lively, however, celebrated her legal win with an Instagram post. She wrote:“Like so many others, I’ve felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us. While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.”Read more: "Why is he lying?" - Internet reacts to Matt Barnes being allegedly extorted by a woman he briefly talked to when he split up with his ex
