Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers' divorce has taken another turn for the worse after the former decided to visit Phypers' house unannounced. As per TMZ, Denise reportedly arrived at her ex-partner's home to pick up a dog, which was in clear violation of an existing restraining order against her.

The event culminated in chaos that ultimately required law enforcement intervention to smooth things out.

As per TMZ sources, Richards began banging on the back door of Phypers' home upon her arrival at the property and demanded entry so that she could pick up her dog. After being allowed entry into the house by Phypers' parents, she reportedly got into an animated confrontation with them and even reportedly “swung” at Phypers’ brother and threw mail at him.

The deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the incident and observed Richards conversing with the cops on the scene. The police looked into the matter and found no crimes were involved and did not make any arrests. Phypers, apparently concerned about violating an existing restraining order, had already left the premises immediately upon noticing her arrival.

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers' divorce battle

News of the couple's divorce was confirmed last month after the court filings initiated by Aaron Phypers came to light. In the days that have followed, Denise Richards has filed a lawsuit against Phypers that includes claims of physical abuse and unauthorized possession of firearms, while Phypers has vehemently denied all accusations against him.

Richards also petitioned for a restraining order against her estranged spouse, and this petition has been granted since then. In recent times, she has also accused Aaron of breaching the restraining order by reportedly stealing her electronic gadgets and sharing her personal information against her will.

Denise Richards' latest visit to the home of Phypers was also in violation of the restraining order, and the current episode is only one installment in what has now become a very contentious divorce case. The two are on a knife-edge, as they have been accusing one another of some severe offenses in recent weeks.

The temporary restraining order remains in effect, with a hearing scheduled for August 8th to determine whether it will become permanent.
