A rumor circulated online recently that Ed Sheeran and Adele paid tribute to conservative advocate Charlie Kirk in the wake of his fatal shooting at a college event in Utah on September 10.
Over the weekend, YouTube channel AI Modiveza uploaded a 7-minute and 15-second video titled “Adele & Ed Sheeran - Rest in Peace, Charlie Kirk (Emotional Tribute Song).”
“Adele & Ed Sheeran - Rest in Peace, Charlie Kirk is a deeply moving tribute song that blends the soulful power of Adele’s vocals with the heartfelt storytelling of Ed Sheeran. Together, they create a timeless duet filled with spiritual depth, emotional honesty, and soaring harmonies that honor the memory of Charlie Kirk,” the video description began.
It continued reading, “The song begins with quiet reflection, carried by Ed Sheeran’s tender verses, before Adele’s powerful voice rises in the chorus, embodying grief, hope, and eternal love. As the song unfolds, their voices intertwine, telling a story of loss, remembrance, and the promise of peace beyond this life.”
The video soon circulated across other social media platforms such as TikTok and X and garnered traction. The YouTube clip, posted on September 13, itself earned over 164,000 views.
However, the now-viral claim is fake. Neither Ed Sheeran nor Adele paid tributes to Charlie Kirk, nor did they release any song about him. The singers also did not issue any statement regarding the assassination of the Turning Point USA founder.
Additionally, the AI Modiveza channel’s description states that it uses artificial intelligence to make music.
“Welcome to AI Modiveza, your ultimate hub for groundbreaking music powered by artificial intelligence. We specialize in crafting innovative, AI-generated tracks across a wide range of genres, including hip-hop, pop, and electronic beats,” it read.
The viral video features computer-generated images and clips of Kirk with his wife Erika and their two children. Notably, Ed Sheeran and Adele have not responded to the rumor as of the writing of this article.

Other fabricated videos of Ed Sheeran and Adele paying tributes to Charlie Kirk have also gone viral
The video claiming Ed Sheeran and Adele paid a joint tribute to Charlie Kirk is fabricated. This is because the source that first posted the clip is known for its AI-generated, fake, and parody content.
Besides, the video description is also misleading, which claims:
“Adele’s unmatched emotional range meets Ed Sheeran’s poetic simplicity, resulting in a ballad that feels both intimate and universal. Listeners are guided through pain and healing, with lyrics that echo like prayers and melodies that linger long after the final note.”
It adds, “For fans of emotional duets, heartfelt tributes, and timeless ballads, Rest in Peace, Charlie Kirk by Adele and Ed Sheeran is a song that transcends music - it’s a spiritual journey and a celebration of life, legacy, and eternal love.”
It was soon followed by the words, “Altered or synthetic content,” adding that the “sound or visuals were significantly edited or digitally generated.”
AI Modiveza has also uploaded similar other misleading videos, including one with the Perfect crooner’s solo tribute to Charlie Kirk and another one falsely claiming Adele released a song titled “Crown of Light” dedicated to the ring-wing commentator. These have amassed thousands of views, likes, and comments. However, they, too, have no factual basis.
Other musicians who have been involved in the rumor include Teddy Swims, Sia, Rihanna, and Damian Marley, among others.
On Saturday night, Sheeran performed a surprise concert at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC, where he offered a glimpse of his new album, Play, which was released earlier this month. At the show, he also announced his upcoming U.S. tour.
Meanwhile, Adele was recently in the news in late August after her account posted a mysterious message about rapper Future holding up the emblem of his record label. However, it was a result of a reported hack and was soon taken down, according to Yahoo! The Hello songstress is currently on a career hiatus and last performed in 2024 during her Las Vegas residency.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot in the neck while speaking at The American Comeback Tour organized by his organization, Turning Point USA, at the Utah Valley University campus in Orem, Utah, last Wednesday. His alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested.
A public memorial service is scheduled in his native city of Glendale, Arizona, on September 21, at the State Farm Stadium. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are expected to attend the funeral, as per USA Today.
