Did Jonathan Bailey really wear flip-flops on the Red Carpet?

Jonathan Bailey has taken the internet by storm with his eccentric fashion choices on the red carpet. The Bridgerton actor wore Dune Grosgrain black flip-flops at a photocall for the Jurassic World Rebirth movie on June 16, 2025.

Bailey looked casual in a grey Kalen Sweater in Viscose, Ross straight-leg jeans, and dark Oakley Plantaris shades. Bailey’s entire wardrobe for the photocall was sourced from The Row.

His casual attire contrasted with his co-stars, Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali. Johansson was dressed in a black blazer dress with golden buttons and matching pumps. Ali paired a black turtleneck sweater with dark blue jeans and blue shoes.

On X, some Netizens found the British actor’s ensemble stylish and expressed the same:

“Jonathan Bailey pulled up to the Jurassic World photocall in flip flops….king behaviour,” @badpostjbailey stated.

“Even in a questionable skinny jeans and flip flops combo, Jonathan Bailey still looks sexy,” @cosmopolitan gushed.

Others were not so impressed and labelled Bailey’s flip-flops a "fashion mishap":

Johansson wore a sequined pink dress with a cowl neckline and a corseted upper. Her hair was styled reminiscent of old Hollywood.

Mahershala Ali looked stylish in an oversized black suit and a silk shirt, and a tie. Rupert Friend matched with the green carpet in a three-piece suit, a burgundy beanie, and tinted glasses.
