Towards the end of the film, Willa (Chase Infiniti) reunites with Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio) after the whole hunting fiasco led by the white supremacist military officer Steven J. Lockjaw (Sean Penn). In the past, Lockjaw had had a history with Bob's partner and Willa's mother, Perfidia Beverly Hills (Teyana Taylor). But eventually, Perfidia deserts Bob and Willa, and the father-daughter duo have lived together since then.

After more than a decade, we see an exhausted Bob and an independent teenager, Willa. Now, Lockjaw has gained a promotion to become a colonel, and he maintains the fabricated lie of never being involved in a biracial relationship. Hence, he is now after capturing Willa to fulfill his motive to validate his lie.

However, Willa is abducted by Lockjaw, and Bob desperately searches for her. Meanwhile, Lockjaw vehemently conducts a DNA test on Willa, which proves she is his biological daughter. This truth shall destroy his facade and lead to him facing abandonment from his racist community, named the Christmas Adventurers Club. Hence, he plans to execute Willa, as she is the living proof of his secret.

After a chain of trials and tribulations, Willa finally frees herself from the clutches of Lockjaw's group. In the meantime, after knowing Lockjaw's truth, he is met with hostility from his group and attacked by his team associate, Tim Smith (John Hoogenakker). With the help of Avanti (Eric Schweig), an indigenous man working as a criminal hunter for Lockjaw, Willa manages to kill Lockjaw's group member, Smith.

An injured Lockjaw eventually meets his end in the hands of the group, and Willa returns to Bob. In the end, Bob hands Willa a letter from her mother, as she sets her foot forward to take part in a protest in Oakland. Bob is seen to finally let go of his fears, as he has always been insecure and guarded about Willa. The movie ends there.
