"We are in the endgame now." The Russos should have saved this line for Avengers: Secret Wars. Maybe they will do that, but let's hope it's only Doctor Strange who gets to say it. That would be the second in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when the same character gets to say the same lines a couple of times. Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark got to say, "I am Iron Man."
Maybe we get to see both of them again. Maybe we will get to see the entire MCU in Secret Wars. Well, at least fans are hoping that. Since the rumor about Charlie Cox appearing in the movie surfaced, conversations about the film have been heating up again. One of the users on Reddit said of the movie that,
"Secret Wars is basically another Endgame - just assume that the entire MCU will show up at some point."
The conversation sparked in this subreddit when somebody shared about the DanielRPK rumor concerning Charlie Cox, so the rest of the conversations revolved around the character and a few relating to him too.
Fans eagerly look forward to the battle in Avengers: Secret Wars
Another user on the subreddit wanted Daredevil to team up with Spider-Man, saying that,
Spider-Man and Daredevil team up to fight Kingpin Doctor Doom.
That is possible actually, given Matt Murdock has already appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Spidey has already lost his mentor. However, that is only possible if Matt remembers him after the spell Doctor Strange cast at the end of the film that made everyone forget him. Maybe this spell will be broken before Avengers: Secret Wars.
One user had another team up in his mind, who writes,
Yes!! I love the idea of street level heroes being included in these high stakes movies. Ive seen Thor and Cap fight the big bad. Let’s get the blind lawyer and the super strong lady in there!
In case you are wondering, the user is talking about She-Hulk, with whom he has teamed up already in the TV series featuring her.
Avengers: Secret Wars will be a soft reboot of the grand MCU

There's a lot of speculation about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially about what happens after Avengers: Secret Wars. We can't really say anything apart from the fact that the movie will be a soft reboot of the MCU.
In 2023, Joanna Robison, who wrote the book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, spoke of a quote from Kevin Feige, who said that,
"Secret Wars will serve as a soft reboot in which they can prune everything."
This way, Avengers: Secret Wars will be, sort of, a bridge between the old MCU and the new MCU, allowing them to remove what's "not working" and keep everything that's working.
As of this writing, Avengers: Secret Wars is set for a release on December 17, 2027. Before that, Avengers: Doomsday will be released, which is on December 18, 2026.
While the cast of Secret Wars remains a secret, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Paul Rudd, and more will appear in Doomsday.
