Eternity: Release date, news, cast details and more about the upcoming Miles Teller film

Miles Teller joins Elizabeth Olsen and Callum Turner in the cast of Eternity. The film is A24's upcoming romantic comedy film that follows a love triangle between ill-fated lovers. According to the logline, here's what the film is about:

"A romantic comedy where everyone must decide who they want to spend eternity with."

The film is directed by David Freyne, whose feature directorial debut was a horror film titled The Cured (2017). Freyne later directed a romantic comedy film titled Dating Amber (2020), set in Ireland. His new film is produced by Tim and Trevor White from Star Thrower Entertainment, along with A24 Studios.

Eternity has officially been selected to be a part of the 2025 TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival), which takes place between September 4 and September 14.

The film will be a part of the TIFF Lightbox category. We're yet to receive an official schedule for the film festival. It will be revealed on August 12, according to their official website.

The film will have its world premiere at TIFF between the 4th and the 14th of September. Later, it will be distributed by A24. However, we haven't received a wider theatrical release date as of yet.

What is Eternity about? Here's what we know so far

Set in the afterlife, Eternity is a romance drama that follows Joan, Luke, and Larry as three souls. Per IMDb, here's the official plot synopsis for the film:

"In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with and her first love, who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive."

Per Deadline, Pat Cunnane wrote the film's script, which was a part of the 2022 Black List of the most-liked, unproduced screenplays. Cunnane previously worked as a part of the writing staff on the ABC & Netflix series, Designated Survivor.

Cunnane is also co-writing the script for Miles Teller and Hailee Steinfeld's upcoming sports-themed drama film, Winter Games.
