The most satisfying yet hilarious death of the franchise witnessed in Final Destination Bloodlines
In Final Destination Bloodlines, the Penny Kid appears in the Skyview Restaurant tower incident in 1968. A young Iris turns up at the inaugural party of the restaurant with her fiance Paul.
The kid can be seen gathering coins from the restaurant's water fountain. As collecting coins from a lake is considered to be an ill omen by many, the guard of the building chides the kid to stop doing that. When Iris enters the elevator, the kid starts annoying her. Iris is already feeling anxious seeing the unsettling architecture of the building — it is entirely made of glass. The kid somehow adds to her woes.
He begins hopping on the glass floor, deliberately to annoy her. When the kid reaches the highest floor of the building, he takes his mischief a notch higher. He begins tossing the coins from the top, despite the repeated caution made by the guard. The kid does not pay heed to the guard, rather he ridicules him. Then, one of the coins end up entering the building's ventilation system.
This leads to leakage of gas and the building starts to crumble. Deaths follow.
The ill-mannered kid tries making his way down the stairs to save himself, but as death would have it, the action triggered by the kid that led to cause all the chaos, comes back to grapple him.
The coin that leads to the destruction of the building and the death of so many people, ends up knocking a piano. The piano lands on a woman, killing her. As soon as the kid comes downstairs, the piano falls on him, and he dies.
However, as Iris's vision ends, she changes the course of the events. She interferes with death's plan as she prevents the kid from tossing the coin off the building. Iris takes the coin from the penny kid, and prevents the spate of deaths that would have happened.
However, several years later, Stephanie, Iris's granddaughter, reads in newspaper articles that the Penny Kid met with his death in his adulthood, by getting hit by a piano truck.
