Gigi Hadid celebrates daughter Khai’s 5th birthday, sharing a glimpse of her motherhood journey

Gigi Hadid celebrated her daughter Khai’s fifth birthday on September 19, 2025, and reminisced on her motherhood journey using pictures. The 30-year-old supermodel announced the fifth birthday anniversary of her daughter using a photo of herself and Khai in a stable.

Her daughter was dressed in a denim jacket, brown chaps, and pink cowboy boots. Hadid, who shares Khai with former partner Zayn Malik, wrote as a caption:

“My girl is 5 today. Happy birthday to my greatest love and gift.”

Hadid went down memory lane on her Instagram stories, sharing a picture from when she was pregnant with Khai. She posed for the cameras in folded jeans and a white camisole with the quirky caption:

“Khai Loading.”

She shared the final result from the photoshoot and captioned it:

“So lucky to be your mama.”

In another slide, the supermodel and her daughter turned their faces away from the camera, with a timestamp marking the photo as October 24, 2023. Gigi also reshared a few pictures from her fan page @gigihmidia. One showed the mother-daughter duo sharing a playful embrace, while another captured Gigi holding Khai along the beach shore.

Gigi Hadid reflected on motherhood in her March 2025 Vogue cover story, sharing that her daughter Khai taught her an invaluable lesson: that simply being her authentic self was enough, and the notion of a “perfect image” was nothing more than an illusion.

"For a lot of moms, there’s this perfect image of what they’re supposed to be and how it needs to go. We grow together. You wake up and do your best, and you realize it is enough, and there’s a beauty in not necessarily knowing exactly how that’s going to go,"

She added:

"I think that’s a huge lesson that I needed. And probably one of the reasons that Khai came to me."

Gigi Hadid told the magazine that motherhood has taught her she can’t always be in control, and instead, she’s learned to give herself grace and appreciate how far she’s come.
