Cuba Gooding Jr. speaks on the tensions between Iran and Israel
On the episode of The View, Cuba Gooding Jr shared his views regarding the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, and called it 'flat-out ignorant.' In the same episode, Whoopi Goldberg, the comedian and actor, also engaged in a heated debate with co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin. Goldberg said that for many Black Americans, daily life feels comparably oppressive to regimes like Iran.
On Wednesday, TMZ interviewed Cuba Gooding Jr. at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), where he shared his thoughts on the war between Iran and Israel, and the US is also being dragged.
He spoke about the brutality of the war and how it is started by leaders or individuals in power. He also added that these individuals or political leaders who drive the war do it only to prove that they were right or to win an argument at the cost of several innocent people.
He also spoke about how we are constantly exposed to real-time images and stories of conflict, anger, hate, and destruction happening all over the world, because of how swiftly information is available on the internet and social media. He then compared the current times to the times when news or information available used to be one-sided, often shaped by governments or media. However, today, we have access to personal stories, raw videos, and different perspectives, which allows us to see both sides of a story.
Cuba Gooding Jr. further explained his view by recalling an example of how Americans used to think that the Russians were the bad guys or the villains in movies, but now, as we see images of innocent people, including babies dying, our perspectives and the narrative we were fed are shaken.
Goodling Jr. will be seen in an upcoming Canadian adventure film, Dog Patrol, set to release on September 20, 2025.
