Leonardo DiCaprio added another name of a great director with whom he has worked with One Battle After Another, Paul Thomas Anderson's tenth feature. The director is famous for putting flawed characters at the center, which he also did with Bob Ferguson, played by DiCaprio, who used to be a part of a revolutionary group called French 75.

Following the release, the film quickly became popular with critics and audiences alike, currently sitting with a 94% score at the Tomatometer and an 85% score at the Popcornmeter at the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes.

Though it doesn't have a streaming release on any platform, it is still available for rent on streamers like Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video, and more.

Other than DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Benicio del Toro, and more appear in supporting roles. Joaquin Phoenix was also attached to the cast, reportedly in the role of the malicious and somewhat fanatical Colonel Steve Lockjaw.

Paul Thomas Anderson's film is currently leading the race for most nominations at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards, which will be available to watch on the streaming platform Paramount+.

One Battle After Another is at the top with nine nominations, including Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Original Score, and more. Sentimental Value by Joachim Trier has managed eight nominations as of now.

A couple of horror films that got the fans talking are in the list, too. Sinners, starring Michael B. Jordan in a double duty, has seven nominations. It is a period vampire film, where two twin brothers return to their hometown. However, they are met with some supernatural forces that are attracted by Sammie's (Miles Caton) music. The film was made on a $100 million budget and made $367 million at the global box office.

On the other hand, the Josh Brolin starrer Weapons was only able to bag a couple of Golden Globe nominations, including Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for Amy Madigan and a Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award. It also became a box office success like Sinners, opening with a $70 million weekend, and making $268 million on a $38 million budget by the end of its theatrical run.

What is One Battle After Another about?

One Battle After Another is mostly about a father who was once a revolutionary but became paranoid, thanks to all that pot smoking, raising his daughter. However, ghosts of his past catch up, and his daughter is kidnapped by a dangerous man. He struggles a lot while trying to save his daughter, which is comic for a better part of the film.

However, there is a lot of tension in there, too, that Paul Thomas Anderson slipped in between. Speaking of tension, the final scene of the film has the most of it. We won't ruin the ending for you, but know that you'll be on a rollercoaster ride on a concrete road in the middle of a desert.
