Eric Stonestreet and Lindsay Schweitzer finally got married on September 9, 2025. They both shared the news in a warm Instagram post on his 54th birthday. Eric wrote,

Eric Stonestreet and Lindsey Schweitzer began their relationship in 2016. They first met at the Big Slick Charitable Event in Kansas City around 2016.

By the beginning or middle of 2016, their relationship had commenced. They were together for many years before eventually getting engaged. Eric had proposed to Lindsay, five years into their relationship, in August of 2021.

After four years of engagement, they scheduled a wedding in September 2025. So, that is essentially eight or nine years, to September 2025.

On September 7, it was Lindsay's birthday, and Eric posted a pic of Lindsay on Instagram, wishing her happy birthday with the following caption,

"Happy Birthday Lindsay! You are beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of to do life with. And your outside beauty doesn’t come close to the blood, guts, cells, water, molecules, tissue, bones, and organs that make up your insides. Rereading that, I probably could have just said, ‘to your inside beauty.’"

Their first meeting back in 2016 brought them together. Over the years, their relationship grew. Eric Stonestreet said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show,

"She calms me. She calms my nerves. I'm a very high-strung person."

In August 2021, Eric Stonestreet proposed, and it was a surprise moment. His proposal was planned by Lindsay’s twin boys. They were part of it and made the moment special. After the proposal, the couple began building a home in Kansas City. They wanted a house that could also become their wedding site. Eric said to People,

"We've been together for a long time, and I just knew I wasn't going to find a better partner in life than Lindsay. So it just made the most sense. And I'd taken my sweet old time."

The wedding took place on September 9, 2025, a special day since it was Eric Stonestreet's birthday, and the couple wed in their home, with a very impromptu wedding ceremony.
