American singer and Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell has joined Sylvester Stallone as the latest celebrity embroiled in a battle for beachfront property privacy. The 50-year-old member of the vocal boy group filed a lawsuit against Walton County, Florida, alleging that the Sheriff's office refused to keep trespassers out of his private property despite it having multiple “no trespassing” signs as well as putting up beach accessories like tables, chairs, and umbrellas to indicate where the property line starts on the beach.

Littrell's privacy issue brings to mind Sylvester Stallone’s restriction battle with his Florida home. The 79-year-old American actor wanted to construct a seaweed underwater barrier in the Intracoastal Waterway by his mansion, however, his plan was abandoned after recieveing significant opposition from neighbours and local officials.

Brian Littrell and Sylvester Stallone might be dealing with issues relating to their waterfront properties in Florida, but the technicalities differ a little bit. Brian issues lean towards trespassing on his private property while Stallone’s issue stem from his efforts in trying to restrict public access to the waterways near his $35 million mansion.

More details on Brian Littrell’s lawsuit against Walton County, Florida

According to the lawsuit, Brian Littrell's efforts in protecting the privacy of his private property have been:

“In vain, as numerous trespassers have set out to antagonize, bully and harass the Littrell family by regularly, every day, trespassing on BLB’s beach, on the Subject Property, in open defiance of the law.”

The singer’s lawsuit also stated that:

“Despite BLB’s numerous requests and the execution of the required forms, the sheriff has refused to come to the Subject Property to enforce the law and remove the trespassers, to charge the trespassers, or to take any action at all, thereby refusing to do their duty.”

This supposed dereliction of duty has caused Brian Littrell to hire security personnel to protect his land and family to ensure a “peaceful enjoyment” of his private property.

The lawsuit revealed that the sheriff’s office has also refused to send responding officers after hearing Brian’s complains previously.

“When BLB personnel contacted the Sheriff for the third time to request an officer again, the 911 operator simply hung up on BLB personnel rather than dispatching the officer that was requested more than an hour prior.”
