Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin's son, Collin Gosselin, has revealed that he will be writing a tell-all memoir that details the abuse he faced from his mother. He will also be sharing details about her affair. Collin and Kate are now estranged, but back then, when he was a pre-teen, he had to spend 22 months in an institution.

According to reports from People, Kate sent her 12-year-old son to the Behavioral Health System institution in Philadelphia back in 2016, citing that it was because of his:

"unpredictable and violent behavior."

Nine years later, Collin, who is 21 years old, spoke to The Sun US, revealing that the book is in the works. The book will be written from a "first-person perspective" and will have "emotion". Collin and his younger sister, Hannah, are now living with their father, Jon Gosselin.

Collin Gosselin discusses upcoming memoir

During an exclusive interview with The Sun US, Collin Gosselin revealed that he is working on a tell-all memoir, talking about the abuse he faced as a child, being sent to an institution by his own mother, as well as his mother's affair. When Collin was young, he was a part of his family's reality TV show, Jon & Kate Plus 8.

This is what Collin Gosselin had to say about his upcoming book:

"I have always wanted to write a book for a long time... All the way back to institution, I was thinking about the events of the show and institution... You just think about how institution was and I remember so many details from it. I just remember life experiences in general. Everything from TV to institution to family members."

He continued:

"There were always things that I felt were important to be out there in the form of a book... I'm working with a lady who is helping me to construct this a little better. Going over these events and putting them on paper and drafting them is almost therapeutic in a way."

He explained how the process of writing felt to him. In Collin Gosselin's words:

"It's nice to talk about these things. The more I talk about one thing I remember little details of it. I'll talk about a time in my life, all these details will come up. It's nice in a way. it's nice to put it out there."

Although Collin and Hannah are under the care of their father, his other siblings, the twins, and the sextuplets are under Kate Gosselin's care. He said in reference to his siblings:

"I am going to release financial documents. I am going to release everything so that they at least have the proof to build their own perspective... I am going to release proof that puts everything there so people can think for themselves."

Collin Gosselin's upcoming memoir promises to shed light on his difficult childhood and strained relationship with his mother, Kate Gosselin. Through his writing, he hopes to share his truth and help others understand what he endured. For Collin, revisiting those memories has become a form of healing and self-reflection.
