Hot 97 recently canceled Ebro Darden's Ebro in the Morning show. Subsequently, the channel announced three new show hosts, Ronndell Smith, Lana Harris, and Million. This started the rumour that they will be taking over the morning spot and replacing Ebro. That is not true. Hot 97 is not replacing Ebro with the new show hosts. The new hosts cleared up the rumor and clarified that they are not replacing Ebro's morning slot show in a broadcast, with Ronnell Smith stating:"But we are the new hosts. But we are not the new hosts of the morning show. We are here in Atlanta. We're in Atlanta. So y'all can leave us alone. We're not coming to your city and bringing our southern charm to you overly aggressive mean New York people, okay. We're gonna stay right on here in the south."Earlier in the broadcast, Ronnell Smith also stated that those who commented negatively about him and his co-hosts owed them an apology:"New York did what New York does. And they were misinformed because Hot 97 didn't really didn't put any information about us out there. And so they ran with it and put their own narrative and what I want to say to New York is y'all owe us an apology, you chop cheese eating boot wearing in the summer folks. You owe us an apology. Y'all had some rude things to say."In the same broadcast, Million and Lana Harris also posted their reaction to the negative comments and rumours, with Million stating:"Y'all feelings ain't a little hurt over this? I don't know how you guys have such thick skins, cause I swear to god, I was reading this and I was melting... like you don't even know me and you come into my comments putting tomatoes in my video. This is so wild. This is how bad the internet could get y'all."Lana Harris added:"I thought it was a little funny only because he (Ronnell) and I... you're a comedian and I have been in the news business for the past, you know, ten years plus. So you get a lot of hate already so it wasn't even all that deep. But also we knew what it was. I didn't know you were gonna that hard. "Funk Flex covered Ebro's morning slot at Hot 97 for one day and has clarified that he will not be taking over that slot permanently.
