Viral rumor surrounding Hulk Hogan’s health debunked

Terry Gene Bollea, famously known by his professional wrestling name, Hulk Hogan, has found himself amidst a new rumor surrounding his health conditions. However, the viral claim is not true, as Hogan is healthy and doing well.

The rumor started circulating on June 18 after the American radio host Bubba the Love Sponge hosted a live stream and, additionally, a YouTube video titled EXCLUSIVE: It's Not Looking Good for Hulk Hogan, where he was talking about Hogan's health. The original lines said by Bubba the Love Sponge were:

"If you did some sniffing around you might find him (Hulk) in a hospital near you. And it's not good. I got some pretty reliable information that there are phone calls being made to various family members about getting to town to come say your goodbyes."

He continued:

"I don't know this to be true. Rumor has it."

When asked about his sources, he said they are pretty reliable. Though he wasn’t completely sure, he said he heard that Hogan was in the hospital and some people were saying he might not survive.

However, the rumor was soon debunked by TMZ, which clarified that Hulk Hogan is not fighting for his life. He was only hospitalized to treat some neck and back issues. The source also told Us Weekly:

"Hulk had pretty serious heart surgery a few weeks ago and was doing well afterward. It wasn’t a near-death thing."

The news has come as a huge relief for fans, who were concerned after the alarming livestream went viral.

The 71-year-old gained the attention of people on the internet after his look was changed earlier in the month of May. However, TMZ was soon to report that he underwent neck surgery and is doing fine now. As per the source's statement, reported to TMZ, he went through a 'little fusion procedure.'

The WWF champion recovered well and resumed work after the surgery. As of now, Hulk Hogan is doing absolutely fine and has reportedly no serious concerns surrounding his health.
