South Korean actress and former amateur boxer Lee Si-young (real name, Lee Eun-rae) has announced that she is pregnant with her second child through IVF. More details about Lee Si-young's IVF pregnancy

The Boys Over Flowers actress posted a white photo on her official Instagram account on July 8, 2025. It was followed by a lengthy caption written in Korean, explaining her second pregnancy.

Here is a rough translation of the caption. The South Korean actress already has a son whom she shares with her ex-husband. She writes:

"I am currently pregnant. I wanted to share this news myself to prevent any misunderstandings or speculations that might arise. Eight years ago, when I was expecting my first child, Jung-yoon, I was unmarried and filming a drama. I was younger and lacked experience. As I watched Jung-yoon grow, I regretted the times I spent with anxiety and negativity. I promised myself that if I were blessed with another child, I would not repeat those regrets."

She further explained the process of her second pregnancy by saying:

"During my marriage, I prepared for a second child through IVF. However, time passed without implanting the embryo, and discussions of divorce naturally followed. As our legal matters were being settled, the five-year storage period for the frozen embryo was nearing its end. Faced with the decision to discard it, I chose to proceed with the implantation. Although my partner did not agree, I am prepared to bear the responsibility of my decision. I have always wanted another child and could not bring myself to discard the embryo."

Lee Si-young also spoke about her son, who gave her hope and strength throughout her marriage. She said:

"What kept me going through a difficult marriage was my angelic child, who filled my life with happiness, hope, and inspiration. Being called 'mom' feels like my life's purpose... I am grateful for this new life and am experiencing peace and happiness like never before. I will humbly accept any advice or criticism and strive to provide for my child with a deep sense of responsibility."

She concluded her post by saying:

"Thank you for reading the lengthy post."

Lee Si-young's second pregnancy announcement marks a new chapter in her life, following her divorce. The 43-year-old actress expressed how she is looking forward to this new journey and embracing motherhood for a second time.
