X Factor winner Leona Lewis recently confirmed that she would be releasing new music next year. During an exclusive interview with The Sun magazine, the Bleeding Love crooner revealed that she would be releasing her first non-Christmas album after over a decade.“I’ve actually been in and out of the studio for the past couple of years. It’s been a real labour of love, and I’m planning to share music next year.”This revelation comes during an interview about her ongoing Las Vegas residency, A Starry Night.“I’m very much in Christmas land at the moment, but the show is a nice blend of my original songs and favourite Christmas music,” the Better in Time singer told the news outlet.She also spoke about her memorable rendition of Frank Sinatra’s classic Fly Me To The Moon where she flew over her audience on a moon.“My husband produced the show and our little girl also had input into lots of it, so it’s a very family-friendly experience – a bit magical, a little ethereal and hopefully leaves people feeling uplifted.”Adding:“I wanted to sing Fly Me To The Moon during my set as it is a Vegas classic. Leona will be taking some time to recover and rest her vocals. She also thanked them for their patience, understanding, and kindness.Unfortunately for her fans, Leona Lewis also cancelled the December 21 show. The singer wrote in the statement that she was heartbroken that she wouldn't be able to perform for the second time in a roll due to the issues with her throat.
