Jake Paul is set to step back into the ring for another headline-making showdown, this time against WBA Lightweight Champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis. The highly anticipated bout is scheduled for November 14, 2025.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer revealed the news on his X account with a dramatic fight-style poster featuring both fighters, sparking major buzz in the boxing world.
He wrote:
"Gervonta, who has been disrespecting my name for too long. His nickname might be Tank, but I’m an FPV drone and about to disable tiny boy. Yes, he’s one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world, but my motto is anyone, anytime, anyplace, against all odds. And I like my odds.''
Standing at 6’1” and weighing in at 200 pounds during his last fight, Jake Paul holds a significant size advantage over Gervonta “Tank” Davis, who measured 5’5½” and fought at 135 pounds in his most recent bout.
Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions company promotes the battle as an exhibition match. The fight will be held at the State Farm Arena in Georgia. It has not been announced if Netflix will be streaming the game exclusively, like they did for Tyson’s.
@BleacherReport shared the news of the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Tank, and @daniel_dinoia tweeted in response:
“Isn’t he like 70 lbs heavier?”

Some fans criticised the matchup, saying that Jake was fighting someone significantly smaller than he was.
“Cash grab! They're not even the same size/ weight class. Never gonna take this guy serious. I know it's an exhibition, but still,” @Jsmithhhhhh55 stated.
“Jake wonders why ppl don't take him seriously. You a ranked lightweight/cruiserweight, yet you not fighting active fighters in your division, so we know this ain't a circus, so we can see how serious you are in the sport. He's chasing the, which is great, but damn, give a good matchup.”@mdeiverion1 tweeted.
"We really will be testing the limits of weight and skill difference in boxing, and Im all for it,” wsoul13x added.
Other X users had varying opinions, stating that weight and size were not the only determining factors in a boxing match:
"People will not want not admit this, but Paul COULD beat him in a boxing match. He is not a better boxer. Having a 70-80lb weight difference is massive. And Paul, whilst not good, is not absolutely terrible. Below average. Right at the threshold of the size vs skill axis, @MovieGoerModern replied.
"I get it, the main event is what is. But the actual card itself will showcase the very best of the best on the BIGGEST platform possible -& Like a car crash that you can't look away from, you will watch. Also let's not act like Tank doesn't f***** hit hard.” @krysta____explained.
