Jimmy Kimmel's show is suspended after he spoke on Charlie Kirk's death in his recent broadcast. As reported by the Daily Mail through its sources, the television host and comedian is reportedly 'pissed' after the news was announced.
"Jimmy is pissed over the decision to suspend him and the show and he isn't going to take this lightly, as he is actively looking for ways to get out of his contract. This is the last straw and Jimmy is now looking to forever break his relationship with ABC forever."
The Daily Mail further reported a producer's statement that read:
"Well now I don't have anything to do, we're shut down indefinitely. We're all here and were basically wandering around like aimless cows. Jimmy is going to meet with the network now, and hopefully figure this out, but he is livid."
Continuing his statement, he said:
"Absolutely fu*king livid. This is clearly the government overreaching. There's no such thing as free speech in America, if the government can lean on companies to stop any content they don't like."
As per the outlet, Stephen Colbert is said to be arranging for Jimmy Kimmel to appear on his show soon.
Jimmy Kimmel's posts about Charlie Kirk on his Instagram
Charlie Kirk was shot dead on September 10 at a university in Utah. After the news was confirmed, Kimmel uploaded an Instagram post about the same, where he wrote:
"Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human? On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence."
On his recent broadcast, Kimmel, while speaking about Kirk, said:
"The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it. In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving on Friday."
Kimmel also showed a video of Trump's reaction to Charlie Kirk's death in his video with the statement:
"Yes, he's at the fourth stage of grief. Construction. Demolition. Construction. This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish."
