Kelley Mack's death at 33 was deemed "unexpected" by rep despite cancer diagnosis

The actress, voice artist, and producer, Kelly Mack, died on August 2, 2025, in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. The news of her passing was shared on her Instagram by her sister. Kelly was diagnosed with a glioma of the central nervous system.

Her representative told People that those close to her were shocked by her sudden passing, especially since the actress had been actively auditioning for roles as recently as June. They said:

''We had no idea the turn it took and it was very unexpected.''

Kelley was 33 at the time of her death and was best known for her roles in The Walking Dead and Chicago Med.

Kelley was not only an actor, but also a voice artist and a producer. As a producer, she produced a few short films, including the upcoming feature film Universal, the 2016 short film The Perfect One, the horror film A Knock at the Door, and the 2015 comedy short film Positive, as per IMDB.

The post on Instagram that announced the death of Kelley read:

''It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.''

The post also mentioned that Mack passed away peacefully in the presence of her mother, Kristen, and steadfast aunt Karen. Mack had begun her acting journey by working in commercials. Some of the most well-known commercials in which Mack appeared include Ross Stores, Dr Pepper, T-Mobile, HBO Go, Prego, and Dairy Queen.

Among the TV series in which she appeared were The Walking Dead, in which she played the role of Adeline in seasons 9 and 10. She then appeared in the medical drama series by NBC, Chicago Med, in which she played the role of Paige in a 2019 episode.

Mack also made a guest appearance in the TV series 9-1-1 as Amber in a 2021 episode. She played the character of Alice in the 2021 film Broadcast Signal Intrusion. The emotional post by her sister on Instagram also mentioned that:

''Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies 🦋 ❤️. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express. She would want you all to know how much she loves you.''

Kelly is survived by her parents, mother Kristen Klebenow, father Lindsay Klebenow, sister Kathryn, brother Parker, grandparents Lois and Larry Klebenow, and her boyfriend, Logan Lanier. A celebration of her life is scheduled for August 16, 2025, in Glendale, Ohio, where friends, family, and fans can honor her memory.
