The Netflix record-smashing hit film is making its way to the big screens! According to Tudum, KPop Demon Hunters will be showcased in theaters in the span of two days, that is, 23rd and 24th August 2025, in New Zealand, the U.K., Australia, Canada, as well as North America. Not only that, but Sing-Along events will take place as well!
Helmed by Maggie Kang and Chris Applehans, the animated film follows the plot of how a trio of K-pop artists, Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, protect humanity while winning the audience's hearts with their performances. In their quest for art and moral duty, they battle with various trials and tribulations from their enemies, as well as their own personal battles.

Everything about the screening of KPop Demon Hunters
Currently topping the charts of the Top 10 movies list on Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters has garnered a viewership crossing 180 million views. It was released on 20th June 2025. It has received an impressive score of 97% at Rotten Tomatoes and a rating of 7.7/10 on IMDb.
After witnessing its groundbreaking success on the streaming platform, the makers have decided to heighten its impact a few notches more. So get ready to grab some popcorn and clear your throats. Because not only can you watch the film on the screens, you can also get to hum along with your favorites, Huntr/x and Saja Boys, at the Sing-Along events of the film as well.
The film will have a limited theatrical run in countries including the U.K., the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada on 23rd and 24th August 2025. The screening will only be for two days, so tickets are also selling at the speed of light.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, in countries such as Canada and the US, more than 1,700 theaters have reserved the event, out of which 1000 showtimes have already been sold prior to the screening. In the US, cinema houses such as Cinemark, Alamo Drafthouse, and Regal Cinemas will be showcasing the film. The popular AMC Theaters is not part of it yet.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, it is also assumed by the Box Office that the film could produce around $5-10 million in the US alone!
