Golden from KPop Demon Hunters was announced as the Best Original Song, Motion Picture at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. The K-pop track is written in part in Korean and is performed by a fictional girl group which is voiced by real-life artists.

Golden is performed by the fictional act HUNTR/X which is voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI. Music for the track was composed by Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo and Park Hong Jun. Lyrics were written by EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick. EJAE's real name is Kim Eun Jae.

Korean-American singer-songwriter EJAE won her first Golden Globe as a songwriter and performer for Golden. It is worth noting that Golden has become the first K-pop song to ever win in the category at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. Netizens reacted, saying,

Netizens were notably quick to gather under the comments of the X post as they celebrated EJAE's win at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards. Below are some of their remarks:

Others also chimed in:

"Golden is a good original song but I Lied to You from Sinners is better.", opined a netizen.
"Congratulations to the creators and performers on this big award!", penned another.

Golden spent eight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 28 weeks overall in 2025. Two other songs from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, Your Idol and Soda Pop also got featured on the Hot 100 chart.

EJAE accepted the award at the 2026 Golden Globes with Sonnenblick and Lee Hee joon. EJAE shared,

"When I was a little girl I worked tirelessly for 10 years to fill one dream to become a K-pop idol and I was rejected and disappointed that my voice is not good enough."
