Travis Kelce’s recent weight loss has caused widespread discussion amongst his fans and sports enthusiasts in general. And now, the NFL player’s head coach, coach Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs, has given his take on the 35-year-old's recent weight loss.
While speaking to reporters on Thursday, July 24, 2025, coach Andy responds to a question about Travis.
“Yeah, he’s svelte right now. He looks like he's 20. He's doing a good job. He's in great shape, and I’m not sure he didn't come first on the whole conditioning thing. He was right up front.”
He continued:
“You can see he's been working out. You saw him yesterday on the long one, where he had the burst, and he's doing a nice job. He's worked so hard to get to this spot here.”
After debuting his new trim look at mini camo, rumors about Travis dropping 25 pounds began circulating over social media. During a press conference on Tuesday, June 19, 2025, Travis Kelce addressed his weight loss rumors.
“First of all, I never said that,” he said with a chuckle. “Don’t believe all you read on the internet, guys, all right? I never told anybody.”
“I am down some weight from the end of the season last year. Each year is different, man. You gotta rebuild it.”
He revealed during the conference that he was putting more energy into training this season than he has in the past, all in preparation for the upcoming football season.
“This year, I got some time to really focus on some form of running and some things early on in the off-season that I just didn't have time for last year. I'm certainly feeling good, and I think it'll pay off.”

In addition to keeping fit, Travis Kelce has been spending quality time with his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Recently, the couple spent some time in Montana, enjoying the snowy scenery alongside Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson.

Travis Kelce shared a thirteen-slide carousel that included photos of himself with the Shake it Off singer, officially launching their relationship on his Instagram after almost two years of being together.
In the first slide, Travis and Taylor wore matching white outfits paired with donned fitted hats that featured anchors on them while posing in front of a camera. In another slide, the couple posed in casual black attire.
Another picture showed Travis hanging out with his older brother and Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin Swift. The footballer captioned the post:
“Had some adventures this off-season, kept it 100.”
