Popular American producer Michael Klick, known for serving as a producer on 24 and Homeland, has passed away at 77. Michael died in his sleep on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at his Los Angeles home. His death was announced by his daughter Caitlin Hoey-Klick via a post she shared on Facebook.

According to Caitlyn, Michael Klick's passing came as a shock to his surviving family members.

“My dad, Michael Klick, passed peacefully in his sleep. So many people knew him as Klick, or Mike or Michael, but my favorite title of his was Caitlin’s dad. He was my world. My mom and I are in utter shock.”

Caitlin described him as a loving father, someone who was always available to help, and a person who enjoyed doing what he did.

“He cared about everyone who he came across. He made long lasting relationships with his co-workers, who he cared deeply for, and anyone who crossed his path. His work in the film industry meant so much to him. He truly loved what he did. In his down time, he would almost always be riding his bike, working on the house in Cambria, taking a yoga class, helping my mom with chores around the house, taking photos, or going on an adventure with me. Most recently, he was staying at my house while I recovered from having back surgery.”

According to his daughter, Michael Klick was funny, hard-working, and family-oriented, and his death has left her feeling empty and devastated.

“He brought humor to every conversation. He was a hardworking, family-loving guy. I don’t have the words to express how devastated, sad, and empty I feel. He was my everything.”
