"My main and ultimate goal is to be happy": Sofia Carson reveals her hopes for the next 25 years in a Glamour México interview

Sofia Carson is not holding back from revealing how she envisions herself in the next 25 years. The thirty-two-year-old actress was featured on the Glamour México 25th anniversary cover. Speaking to the outlet about how she imagines herself in 25 years, she said:

"I know I've worked my whole life for this, but at the same time, I continue to surprise myself. In 25 years, I'd like to continue creating art that I love and connects with others (be it music, film, or television) so that it can be my compass and goal."

Continuing the statement, she said:

"I want to challenge myself as an artist and storyteller , writing more songs (I've been doing this since I was 11, and it's something I'm passionate about). But above all, I think my main and ultimate goal is to be happy. Happiness is everything."

Carson has been working in the entertainment industry since 2012. She was featured back-to-back in the Netflix movie My Oxford Year and The Life List, released in 2025, and Carry-On, released in 2024.

According to IMDb, Carson’s upcoming project is Last Night at the Lobster. While details about the release date are still under wraps, fans are eagerly awaiting more news about the project.

Carson is also a popular singer in the music industry with over five million monthly listeners on Spotify.


Sofia Carson talks about storytelling

During the interview with Glamour Mexico, Sofia Carson was asked what type of stories she would like to tell through storytelling. In reply, she said that she gets inspired by extraordinary women and that she would like to share their stories.

She further added:

"I'm also drawn to roles that challenge me and can touch people. Being a storyteller comes with a great responsibility, and I want what I do to inspire, connect, and leave a mark."

Sofia Carson has previously also talked a lot about storytelling. Speaking with People about her movie Purple Hearts, released in 2022, Carson revealed that playing the character of Cassie in the movie was her greatest challenge.

Talking about the character, she further told the outlet:

"And this one in particular went kind of a step further, because I've always been in love with storytelling, and to be a part of storytelling from every aspect, from behind the scenes as producer to physical storytelling as an actress to storytelling through song, was incredibly fulfilling."

In the interview, the actress and singer also revealed that she stays grateful to keep herself grounded. She said having a family, a support system, and helping others through causes like UNICEF gives her balance and purpose.
