Prior to its release, the film has generated a positive buzz. The film initially received a certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of writing this story on July 10, the audience's score on the review aggregator site has increased to 96%. This stems from some critics and viewers who have seen the film early during screenings.

A 96% audience score is more than any other Superman film in the franchise. The second in line is Zack Snyder's Justice League, which received a 92% score. It would be interesting to observe the recent film's score after its release on Friday.
