Avengers: Doomsday is the forthcoming film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Anthony and Joe Russo are returning to the franchise as the directors after 2019's Endgame. The film is slated to be released theatrically on May 1, 2026.

Anthony Mackie, who is starring in Avengers: Doomsday, recently shared a short video on social media. In it, the actor is recording a video with a snowy backdrop. He says,

“Wherever you are, I hope it’s a warm, beautiful, sunny day.”

It is possible that scenes of Latveria might be getting shot in this location. Latveria is a fictional country where Doctor Doom lives; the character is the main villain of this film and is being portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

Robert had earlier played Iron Man/Tony Stark in the Infinity Saga, and the character saw a conclusion as he passed away trying to stop Thanos. It is unclear how the makers will justify his appearance as Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom. This news was announced at the 2024 Comic-Con, and it reportedly surprised fans.
