Brianna Ruffalo is not related to actor Mark Ruffalo. Brianna, who is a meteorologist, recently announced her marriage to actor Josh Lucas. She took to Instagram on Friday to share the news of her marriage to the "A Beautiful Mind" actor, saying:

"Mr. and Mrs. Incredibly blessed to receive this sacrament together inside the heart of the Catholic Church and holy city."

Brianna Ruffalo and Josh Lucas, who tied the knot in St Peter's Basilica, have been in a relationship since 2022. Josh Lucas, who has one son, was previously married to Jessica Henriquez from 2012 to 2014. According to Entertainment Weekly, the couple got engaged last year in June after Josh Lucas proposed to Ruffalo while dining at a restaurant.

Announcing the proposal, he shared a post, writing:

"For the last two years in every way and every day this beautiful soul has made me and my life better, deeper, and more whole. I am so grateful and thrilled she said 'yes.' I WAY love you, Brianna. & Thank you to our families and all the people and places that made this come true. I am absolutely aware I got crazy lucky."

Brianna Ruffalo was born on May 10, 1991, and was raised in LA by her parents, with whom she maintains a close bond. According to People Magazine, her father was a LAPD police officer who started his career as a patrol officer in the San Fernando Valley. He later worked as a homicide detective in the Wilshire division of the LAPD.

On the occasion of his 74th birthday, Ruffalo wrote:

According to her IMDb Page, Brianna Ruffalo attended Santa Clara University, Northbridge, from which she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. She later studied meteorology at Mississippi State University, graduating in 2021. Talking about completing her degree in meteorology, she wrote on Facebook:

"Being in school while working full time on morning show shifts was tiring and took up a large portion of free time (and sanity, thanks in part to thermodynamics). It feels extremely rewarding to have this after plugging along through sleep deprivation and alllll of life’s curveballs it’s thrown in recent years!"

Ruffalo currently works at ABC7, prior to which she worked at ABC30. On Friday, she posted about her special day, sharing a picture of her and Josh Lucas at the Vatican.

Brianna Ruffalo has Italian and Greek ancestry. She has one brother, Edward Ruffalo, who works for the Pasadena Fire Department. She also posted on her mother, Lisa's, 65th birthday:

"Happy early 65th Birthday to my sweet mom 💗 my best friend, my heart and soul.. the woman who I truly believe was put on this earth to be a mama. She’s given us the greatest life..being the most loving, selfless mother feeds her and I’m not sure how we got so lucky to have her as ours.
