On May 20, the sports presenter uploaded his weekly dump on Instagram. Amid several memorable snippets from his trip to Mexico, he shared a few adorable, cozy glimpses with Siwa. He wrote in the caption,

"The previous 7 days have been the prettiest.. 😊💫🎂"

The Every Girl's a Super Girl singer commented,

A few days back, JoJo Siwa shared moments from her birthday week on her Instagram. The carousel featured Chris several times. She dropped the sneak peeks on the 'Gram, writing in the caption,

In an exclusive conversation with People on May 21 at the Epic Universe Celestial Carpet Opening Celebration event, JoJo Siwa opened up about her present state of mind. At this event hosted at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida, she admitted being "happier than ever right now."

She exclaimed,

"I'm in such a great place. I'm so, so happy. I said to somebody the other day, 'I don't think humans are meant to feel this happy,' and that somebody was like, 'No. I think you are actually.'"

JoJo and Chris appeared on the April 28 episode of This Morning. During the conversation, they reflected on their bond.

"He’s a gorgeous boy. Look, he’s a great guy. It is platonic, we have a lot of fun together. Life is life, and I don’t know any future of anything. But I’m really grateful for our dynamic that we have in our bond that we have, and whatever life does, life will do."

Calling his connection with JoJo Siwa "a soulmate friendship," Chris Hughes chimed in,

"It’s not like the standard friendship that you have with your friends, but it’s, you know, it’s still a friendship."

He also credited Siwa for supporting him during the TV show. Hughes further added,

"Having someone in there to go through an experience like that ... when you’re emotional, when you’re down, when you’re happy, that was beautiful."
