TV personality Tammy Willingham, aka Tammy Slaton, appears almost unrecognizable after her weight loss journey. She also had a skin removal operation. The star, from the 2020 reality show 1000-lb Sisters, shared a series of photos on TikTok on July 21. According to E! News, she had a 500 lb weight loss transformation.

As seen in the photos, she wore black shapewear and also posed with a peace sign in another image. Following her TikTok post, social media users appeared awestruck by her transformation. One X user appreciated her resilience, saying:

“I can't even imagine how hard that journey was. Good for her.”

Netizens applauded Tammy Slaton’s determination, while others admired her body positivity.

Tammy Slaton said she was shocked after her weight loss transformation

Tammy Slaton shared her July 21 TikTok post almost a month after her skin removal surgery. During an episode of the 1000-lb Sisters show in June 2025, the producer asked how she felt after the transformation. Slaton replied:

“I am shocked, like I feel so weird. I don’t have my hanging ball sack off my face. My bat wings are gone too and I look down and there’s not nothing there but my lap now.”

She went on:

“It’s gonna take a while for me to get used to seeing myself like this.”

As seen in the episode, a person told Slaton that once the swelling went down, the change would be even more noticeable than it already was. A doctor also mentioned that her cheeks were still very swollen, but the swelling would eventually reduce and settle.

When Tammy Slaton returned to her place after her skin removal surgery, her family members were surprised. Her sister Amy said that Tammy looked much better. She explained that she took many photos and selfies, not just because she thought she looked nice, but mainly to remember how big she used to be.

Tammy Slaton shared with People Magazine that she had to shed 500 pounds over six years. After that, it was decided that she could get the surgery done. She felt it was a success as she worked hard for it.
