"Devastating": Insider reveals Nicole Kidman is "hurt and betrayed" as she files for divorce from Keith Urban

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, a source told People that Nicole Kidman "feels very betrayed," adding:

"Nicole's hurt and feels betrayed. It's devastating to her. She's shocked."

The Bombshell actress filed for divorce in Nashville courts, where the couple had lived since 2007, a day after their separation was confirmed. Another insider reported to the outlet:

"Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

They continued:

"She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage."

TMZ also revealed that prior to the divorce filing, the couple had been living separately "since the beginning of summer." An exclusive source also told the outlet that the actress has been the one "holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone."

The couple's last public appearance together was at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, where they were reportedly spotted smiling and laughing. In the same month, the Babygirl star also posted a black-and-white photo with Urban to commemorate a life milestone, captioning it with:

Since their split, the mother and daughters "have been inseparable," according to a source close to the family.

“While Keith has been away on tour all summer, Nicole and her daughters have been inseparable, spending time together bonding. Now the focus is back to school in Nashville, where Nic has been getting the girls ready for the new year.”

In August, Nicole Kidman shared a carousel of clips and images of her summer getaway with Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, writing in her caption:
