Did Cody Johnson and Brandi welcome baby No. 3? Country singer shares joyful family update

Cody Johnson is officially a dad of three.

The country singer recently co-hosted the Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, where he announced that he and his wife, Brandi, have welcomed their third baby together. He shared with Helton:

"I didn't know if you were gonna bring it up, but yeah, baby Jaycee, finally got my boy. He and Mom are here at the house. They're happy and healthy, and it's been a wonderful experience."

The "Til You Can't" hitmaker revealed that the name of his third child is Jaycee, a son, born just this October. The country singer further revealed some details about his baby No. 3, telling Helton that he was born early in the morning.

"It was 1 a.m., couldn't sleep, and about 2:30, Brandi said her water broke. I figured out her diesel truck tops out at about 125 miles an hour."

When Lon Helton asked him if he had plans to announce the new family milestone, Cody Johnson explained that people will eventually find out, and attributed the lack of concrete plans to officially announce it to his being a private person.

"My publicist asked how and when we were gonna announce it. I said people will find out. There was no way if I did a call with Lon and he asked about it that I'm not gonna talk about it. With CMAs coming up, someone's gonna ask, so it's gonna get out. He was born on October 21st."

He continued:

"I'm a pretty private person, Brandi is too. Some artists post all the time. Not me. When I'm on stage with the guitar, I interact with the world. But when I take my hat off, I'm very private."

Cody Johnson and Brandi: A glimpse into their family

Back in May, at the 2025 Country Music Awards, Cody Johnson and Brandi happily announced that they were expecting a new baby. The "By Your Grace" singer gushed about it to People at the time:

"We're having a little boy! We decided to make this our announcement to the world and our gender reveal as well."

The couple first met when they were teenagers, but they reconnected years later when he saw Brandi at a bar where he performed and asked for her number.

A month after their first date in 2007, they moved in together. The following year, they tied the knot.

Cody Johnson and Brandi share three kids: Clara Mae, born in 2015, Cori, who arrived in 2017, and now Jaycee, born in 2025.

Previously, the country musician expressed his pride over being a father of two daughters, telling People:

"My girls... you can't beat my girls, I love my two girls with all my heart. I'm excited to watch them help raise this little boy."

When asked if his two daughters plan to follow in his footsteps, Cody Johnson said:

"[They] get their microphones and play their little guitars and scream at the top of their lungs, 'Daddy, I’m like you.'"

Nonetheless, Cody Johnson encourages his children to do what they want, regardless of what it is.

"I don’t want them to feel like they have to go into the music business because I’ve been in it. I want them to be able to chase their dreams with the same amount of passion that I’ve chased mine. Whatever that may be. I’m gonna support them 100 percent."
